The Comms™ are an independent band based in the Chilterns, Buckinghamshire with a DIY attitude towards creating music. Their debut EP CHALK reflects life in the countryside and the alarming devastation caused by projects such as High Speed Rail 2 on the environment. Their music tells the story of the physical and emotional impact it has on community, landscape and habitats.

Inspired by artists such as Idles, Pussy Riot, Fontaines D.C and The Slits for their forward thinking storytelling as well as their unapologetic stance on policies.

Produced entirely in Garageband, the band make do with what they have.

Unmotivated by streams and sales, The Comms™ purposely chose not to upload to big streaming services such as Spotify and Apple Music at the beginning of their musical journey, as a protest against their platforms bias towards popular artists and lack of support for small/ independent.

The Comms™ value communication, community and compassion. They create art as a relief from and reflection of the world around them. The process, collaboration and serendipity is what brings joy and satisfaction.

Looking forward, the band is eager to showcase to more live audiences.

CHALK is available to stream and digitally download from Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Youtube and the band’s Website.
